BASEBALL
Baseball is played and enjoyed all over the world. To play baseball, you
need a ball, bat and glove. Baseballs are made by machines. At one
time, baseballs were made by hand. There is a small cork in the middle
which is covered by two layers of rubber. Three layers of yarn are then
wrapped around the rubber. The outside cover is stitched with sturdy red
thread. Bats can either be made from aluminum or wood. Youth usually
use aluminum bats since they can’t break. The professionals use the wood
bats. Depending on the position played, determines what type of glove is
needed. When a player is batting the ball, it is required that a batting hat be
worn for protection. Players wear cleats with spikes to help their running.
Batting gloves can also be worn to help grip the bat better. The baseball
field has an infield, an outfield and foul territory. The pitche
