Egypt's population was estimated in July 2002 at 70,818,000. The statistics of urban verses rural is 44% urban and 56% rural. 90% of Egypt’s population is concentrated in the Nile Delta. There were many different races of people who conquered Egypt. Those people mixed with the Egyptians, which means that there are still lots of Egyptians that are more than one race. Some of the people that mixed with the Egyptians include, Arabs, Ethiopians/Persians, Turks, Greeks, Romans, and other Europeans. Egyptians, Bedouins, and Berbers 99% Greeks, Nubians, Armenians, and other Europeans 1%.
The primary language of Egypt is Arabic. The first language of Egypt was the Coptic language, until Arabs took over and forced their language on them. Now they speak Arabic. The secondary languages in Egypt are English and French. English and French are technically not spoken but are understood by many educated classes.
In Egypt there are three religions Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. All three religions believe in one God. Islamic people follow the teaching of the “prophet” Muhammad.
