Midterm paper on Christian schools vs Liberal Schools
Thesis Statement: Christian schools are better equipped for educating the future leaders of America than state or liberal schools because: their moral values are stronger, their academic curriculum is better goal oriented, and the overall experience is easier to enjoy and appreciate.
At a Christian college, there are higher expectations required of a student because of the values generally held by a bible believing establishment. Where as a public/state college may have co-ed dorms, where girls and guys live in the same building; most Christian colleges strive to keep the men and women apart to lower the amount of temptation placed on the students who are striving to live in a godly environment. Keeping the men and women in separate living quarters in a Christian college, and applying rules to keep one sex out of the other’s areas, helps make it easier for students to resist any temptation one might have to do something ungodly and unchristian that might easily ruin one’s testimony. At a public/state college, the chances of a student, perhaps, getting pregnant are much higher since the moral expectations for the student are much lower.
