Andrew Warhola was born in lower middle class society in 1928 in Forest City Pennsylvania. His parents were Czechoslovakian immigrants who came in search of a better life.(8) As a boy, he collected pictures of movie stars and spent hours copying magazine illustrations.(2) Warhol's most important job was when he was a teen, working during his summers at a department store. This is where he came into contact with the consumer world of advertising and this sparked an inspiration for Art. Andrew studied at Carnegie Institution of Technology in Pittsburgh where he left with a B.A. in fine Arts in 1949.
