Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo presents an interesting subject for review this week. As I reflect on her work, it is evident that her personal experiences had a strong influence on both her style and the subjects of her paintings. I am referring to her tragic accident as a teenager, her political views, and her attraction to Diego Marti. For this course, I will try to stay focused on the aspects of Kahlo that represent her Latin American heritage and the society that she lived in.
