Was His Dream Deferred?
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of equal rights for all people. He wanted all African Americans to be treated equal to all white people. The question is, was his dream deferred? I believe that his dream was not deferred due to the many advancements towards equality for all people.
On August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, a very fitting place, and gave his famous speech called “I Have A Dream”. He spoke to approximately 250,000 people on that day. That speech is one of the most famous speeches ever given. There are few people in this nation that are not familiar with it. The speech made a great impact on many people.
I believe that his dream was not deferred due to many factors. T
