Israeli Status
Israel, not much different than our United States, was built on the foundation of open worship
and religious freedom. Having one of the oldest recorded history, Israel, has stood up to the test
of time and adversity. In the Bible is says” For you are a holy people, the lord your God has
chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the people on the face of the
earth.” This is a promise of protection from God to Israel. This promise has remained a beacon of
light for the people from then till now.
After W.W.II, the British backed of their mandate with Palestine, and the UN divided up the
area into the Jewish and Arab states, which was later rejected by the Arabs. Wars broke out that
did not dissolve any of the many problems between the two nations. On October 26, 1994, the
Israel-Jordan Treaty of Peace resolved many outstanding territorial disputes between Jordan and
Israel. IN keeping with the framework established at the Madrid Conference in October 1991,
bilateral negotiations were conducted between Israel and Palestinian representatives and Syria to
