Amida: Descending over the Mountains

The naturalism is from the way the two leaders are facing each other across the river ready to fight. The abstract of the foreground is the warriors. They are bigger than the two leaders, their faces are painted, and their heads are bigger than their bodies.

The second part of the four dimensional looking painting done by Zenrinji is of two angelic people, looking down on the war and they appear to be praying. The coloring on this is much lighter and much more peaceful than the foreground. It still uses the same sea green and rosy red for the mountains and their clothes. There is also another few shades of green with a soft blue - green for their halos and a dark forest green as you move up the mountains. There is also a tan like brown in the mountains. The angelic people seem to be standing in a kind of mist or river, which adds to the part of the painting that seems to abstract.
