In Italy, breakfast is either eaten at home or at a bar. At home, the meal consists of fresh fruit, cheese, bread, juice and coffee. Approximately 90% of the population eat breakfast at home and the rest eat at bars were the menu in primarily coffee, a sweet or salty oven baked product and yogurt. For those who eat out, a bar and breakfast are dependent upon one another. They open early in the morning and serve mostly those between the ages of 25-64, which is 80% of the population.
