Genesis 1 begins with the line, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) With this as the first sentence in the bible, we are introduced to the idea that for God, the beginning and the end has no significance because he is beyond both. He is the creator of time, and nothing stands behind him. If we can believe that God created heaven and earth out of nothing, then everything else is possible.
Through Genesis 1, we are taught that God has a mind, will, and an intellect. This is shown as he says, “Let there be…,” in which he makes decisions and creates each thing with its own essence. When he creates man and woman, he makes them unlike any other creature because we can change our ways or course. He gives
