While listening to this song, I noticed that it was a motet. Each new line of the text begins a new point of imitation, while the voice that leads, the others imitating the leads as they move around. The upper voice seems more melodic than the tenors and those below the upper voice. You can hear cadences of sorts at the end of each line. In the
