How I Learned to Drive
“How I learned to Drive” was one of the most entertaining plays I have ever seen. Although at times the dialogue and actions were a bit risqué, overall the play was very enjoyable to watch. It went by so fast that I actually had no idea it was even close to ending until the actors took their bows.
It was very interesting for me, as someone who viewed driving as heaven and a passageway into freedom, watch the privilege do the exact opposite for Lil Bit. From the first time she drove, while sitting on her Uncle Peck’s lap until the end of the play she was sexually abused. Her drive was not a drive of freedom to heaven but a drive to hell.
The acting was superb. Uncle Peck was portrayed wonder
