“Hitler vs. Stalin”
No regimes, ever, had encompassed with such totality the people under their sway. Few had such mad ideas; none had both the technology and the readiness to kill on so huge a scale. They murdered by the million, terrorized by the hundred million and for Adolf Hitler for twelve years and Joseph Stalin for twenty-nine years, until his death, they got away with it. Although Hitler and Stalin hated each other, the two leaders were similar in many ways. Hitler and Stalin each rose to the highest position attainable in their respective countries. Both men were skilled users of propaganda, each was amoral and both had the ambition to make their countries powerful in the world. They used their words to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what they were saying was the absolute truth.
