Gun Control
Is Gun Control the Cause or Solution to our Problems?
Gun control has emerged as one of the more contentious and emotionally charged issues in American politics. We do not have all the answers to suicide, murder, and teen violence, but it is clear from the statistical proof that gun control is not the answer. There is an insurmountable amount of evidence that suggests that owning a gun can be a valid and efficient method of self-defense. (Source 7) Guns have been used for hundreds of years as a means of protection. Also there is little empirical evidence that gun control is an effective deterrent against crime. (Source 5) The right to bear arms originated and is secured by the Second Amendment of the United State’s constitution. To say that no one should posses guns violates this amendment, and is unfair to those who use guns to protect their families and themselves. There are many reasons why gun control is not the answer to all of the world’s issues.
The most obvious reason that gun control is wrong is because it is an infringement on our rights. The Second Amendmen
