Islam and Muslims – Undermined Trust
September 11th, 2001 events effected nearly all aspects of our life. Political and
economical consequences of the attacks are well known and still discussed almost
everyday on almost every TV channel and mass media. The atmosphere is not good. It’s
changed. It’s wearing! The daytime skies over America’s major cities still contain
security helicopters, bridges and tunnels are constantly checked, longer lines in airports
remind us about the tragedy. Realization and understanding that no country, regardless of
its military strength, financial power and geographical location is safe from terrorism has
firmly settled in everybody’s mind. In other words September 11, 2001 had changed the
world. But the one thing that probably changed more than anything else was the public
