Brain Drain in Turkey
Brain drain is the flow of skilled professionals— engineers, physicians, scientists, and educators—from less developed (developing) countries to the more developed countries. In many cases, large scale migration to the developed countries of the west does serious damage to the communities left behind as Nguku Eric Kimweli mentioned. Developing countries, including Turkey are losing the people who are well skilled and educated, and perform vital services contributing to the economy and health of the country, and also create new jobs for others. Why these cornerstones of economy and power are moving abroad? How can we make them stay in their homelands?
Firstly, brain drain’s causes can be divided into three major parts; lack of employment, political instability, sending students abroad.
