Alexander Hamilton
Alexander Hamilton was a man who was always at odds with his buisness partners and questioned every theory and statement that he came across. He was on of two children. Born as an illegitament child whose father left him alone with his brother and their aristocratic mother during his early childhood years. He was born in 1757 on the island of Nevis in the British West Indies. During his short lived life, Hamilton accomplished much and raised many eyebrows his way in the process. He established our National Bank, was the first Secretary of Treasury, and layed down the foundation for our country’s business and economic path.
Alexander Hamilton’s father was a poor Scottish merchant by the name of James Hamilton. His mother was Rachel Fawcette Levine, of French Huguenot decent and born into a prominet aristocratic household. She was never actually able to marry Alexander’s father due to Danish law; because prior to falling in love with James Hamilton she had already been married once and Danish law, forbade second marriages. Alexander’s mother opened up a small store to make ends meet and provide for her two sons. Alexander was able to gain a basic early education from a Presbyterian clergyman.
