Organizational Behavior
In my family we always try to keep good relationships with each other. When I was a child my father was trying to satisfy all of our needs and always to be fair to everyone. My father runs a business on his own, so he has a good idea of how to handle and organization. Through my father’s eyes our family was always reflected as an “organization” that should be handled from a person that had the skills and abilities to do so; that was my father.
I have to admit that he was a good leader. For him, leadership is the ability of a person to persuade and influence other people towards the achievement of goals. Both, my brother and I always argued for different things. Conflicts in our family were always solved through conversations. When I was a teenager and I wanted to go out, I always ran to my mother. She was always telling me: “ I think it’s better to discuss this with your father”. Not that my father was the kind of a leader that didn’t take into consideration other people’s opinion. For example when we had a conflict he always encouraged participation from all of us in the decision making process.
