A heart attack occurs because there is a blockage in the arteries that nourish the heart with oxygen-rich blood. It is a life-threatening emergency where every second counts. Heart attacks are the major leading cause of death in Canada. Over one third of population die from heart attacks. Most Canadians have overcome this disease and the numbers of death have been reduced. Our scientists have concentrated on this disease and they have published a lot of information regarding to this disease. That has helped a lot of Canadians especially immigrants.
This essay will be focused on the causes of heart disease, how to prevent it, symptoms of this disease, and effects it has on our society.
