Imagine this for a moment: You are seventeen years old, and a star athlete in your high school. Everyone thinks that you have it great, but the truth is, athletics is about all that you have going for you. You are terrible academically, and hate being at school. At home, your family is having financial problems, and so it is not a fun place to be either. However, today you think your luck is too good to be true. Today a scout for the NBA asked you to play professional basketball, as soon as you graduated high school. You will be making a million dollars a year and never be forced to be in school again. What would you do?
This is the case for many high school athletes. People like Bobby Convey, Andy Trenkle, and many other young athletes are faced with this decision right now.
