War of Worlds
For my book I did War of the Worlds by Orson G. Wells. Have you ever been in a time of war? Well, I know you have we are in one now, but how about a war between two different planets. It would be a completely different experience. Don’t you think it would be just frightening? Well for a large mass of Englishmen this was the case.
It all starts with the watching of mars. It was nothing great to see for a normal person, but for an astronomer it was a wonderful thing to see. On this one night though, it was an even greater sight. There was the falling of the star, or was it a star? That was the question on a lot of Englishmen’s minds. Naturally they went to check out the star. The first to get there was the narrator. He was followed by many others.
When he got their the thing that was thought to be a star happened to be a sphere. It was also steaming hot. The top of the sphere also seemed to be being unscrewed from within the sphere. The thought of extra-terrestrial intelligent life spread.
The army was called in to make sure the creatures were not mistreated. The army tried to open the sphere, but it was to hot. Since it was too hot the army had to wait. They did not have to wait very long. Finally, they w
