“There is no hell." This is, of course, a flat rejection of a place known as hell. Proponents of this view may, however, hold to the idea that there is a hell but that it is not a place. If they conceive of any kind of "hell" it may be nothing more than a state of mind, or it may be equivalent to the bad times here on earth.
