Bowling for Columbine
Michael Moore, an accomplished filmmaker found that there was a need in the American society. A need to open up the American peoples eyes to gun control, in his documentary “Bowling for Columbine” Michael Moore writer, director and producer uses comedy and drama to bring across the awareness “Are we a nation of gun nuts or are we just nuts?” This film not only informs the audience of the persistent gun control problems in the USA; it does so in an entertaining and thought provoking way. Moore, capture’s the audiences attention and entertains them by means of shock. Messages and scenes that are seemingly unexpected draw in the audience. Walking into a bank that gives away free guns when an account is open and easily acquiring a gun, is only one way in which Moore exemplifies this shock factor. “Bowling for Columbine” is an exceptional resource, entertaining, and effectiveness for its audience.
