Family and Culture Interview Analysis
Step 1. HYPOTHESIS- I believe that Asian families will slightly differ from Western families. I am assuming that Asian families are definitely stricter than the Western families, specifically because education is more important. I also feel that the Asian’s will be more religious than the Westerner’s. The Western’s however, I believe they will have more freedom and go out more on the weekends while the Asian’s stay home and work on schoolwork.
Step 2. A QUESTIONNAIRE- See questions and answers.
Step. 3 SAMPLE- For my survey, I interviewed 20 people. Out of those people, I had 5 Asian girls, 5 Asian boys, 5 Western girls, and 5 Western boys. The reason why I chose this method is because it seems to be very accurate.
Step 4. ANALYZING THE DATA- See graphs.
Step 5. DRAWING CONCLUSIONS- Going back to my hypothesis and overlooking my data I have collected, I realized that Asian families and Western families are quite similar. Before this project, I was led to believe from what I’ve seen, that Asian’s were strict and had no freedom. Although, I was right when I assumed that education plays a large role in their culture.
