CAUSES OF THE MEXICAN-AMERICAN WAR
There are many events and conditions that led up to the Mexican American War. The Exploration of the West, Manifest Destiny, and the Texas and Bear Flag Republic Revolts, are just a few things that led to the war. Due to the war, the Chicano Movement was affected in a few ways. Things were rekindled during the Chicano Movement that traced back to the Mexican American War.
Anglos found Mexican land to be very beneficial. Their territory was an important source of raw material for the Market Revolution. Anglos were determined to migrate to the Western Pacific with raw materials shipped from New York in order to make trades along the Pacific Ocean with China.
