THE MODERN OLYMPICS HAS NO PLACE IN OUR WORLD
The International Olympic Committee’s slogan is ‘Celebrate humanity’
Their aim is to promote communication and show the extraordinary and inspiring values embodied within the Olympic Games;
A german athlete advice to friend Jesse Owens enabled the African-American athlete to win a gold medal at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. The German athlete provoked the fury of Adolf Hitler but demonstrated a true gesture of friendship, thus conveying the message of peace and brotherhood and illustrating that the Olympic Games also "celebrate humanity".
But is this really the case? In order to better understand how the modern Olympics have evolved in this media frenzy event, one needs to examine the changes which had taken place.
It was an accident.
This is one of the many pathetic excuse given by athletes which are found guilty of doping. Other’s blame their coach, the team doctor. Anyone but themselves. The issue of doping is not new.
The first drug tests were held by the Olympic Committee during the 1968 Games in Mexico City; and only one athlete was caught for alcohol use. But by the 1972 Munich Games, testing had become more widespread and seven athletes tested positive for
