King Lear
The story of King Lear is about a king who has made a terrible mistake by giving his two evil daughters his kingdom and land for they had swayed him with the kindest of words while exiling and disowning his youngest daughter who truly loves him. This actions causes the problems and terror which known as the story of King Lear. For his blindness and fear the story of King Lear illustrates that decisions based on fear and cause the most far reaching of errors.
King Lear’s fear of neglect is evident throughout the book but is shown to its full extent at the beginning. As the story starts, he wishes to hear how much his daughters love him and offer to give them land for their kind words. He is stated saying
Tell me, my daughters
Which of you shall we say doth love us most?
That we our largest bounty may extend
Where nature doth with merit challenge.
