Dorothy Day and the Catholic Workers
Dorothy Day once called the Catholic Workers “fools for Christ.” Are they? Refer to Forest and anything and everything we have done in class.
In my opinion, stating that someone is a “fool for Christ” does not necessarily has a negative connotation. In hearing that statement, that the Catholic Workers are “fools for Christ,” I feel in agreement with it. I feel that the Catholic Workers would do almost anything to follow the ways of their religious leader, Jesus Christ. Furthermore, Catholics who strongly follow the ways in which Jesus Christ paved the way for Catholicism may then be considered “fools for Christ.”
