Two Countries South of the Sahara
Nigeria and Zimbabwe are two countries which are located south of the Sahara Desert. There is a great distance between the two countries, as Nigeria is located in Western Africa and Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. Despite the detachment, they share many of the same key social, economic, and health problems.
Many of Africa’s countries are filled with a surplus of natural resources. Zimbabwe and Nigeria share many of the same or similar resources such as coal and iron ore. Resources that are unique to Zimbabwe are; chromium ore, asbestos, gold, nickel, copper and many other metals (The World Fact Book: Zimbabwe). Nigeria also has a knack for metals with resources such as; tin, columbite, limestone, lead, and zinc (The World Fact Book: Nigeria).
