College Athletes
In the world of college sports, there seems to be an absence of money being given to the people who actually generate most of its earnings, the athletes. College sports athletes should be paid to play their sports. The athletes are much more than just amateur sports players, they also serve as entertainers for world wide audiences. They deserve to be compensated for these services as entertainers. With many restrictions, much time needed to practice, the costs of college and living, and the responsibility to excel academically, college athletes need some source of income. College players put in so much hard work and dedication to their sports, so why shouldn’t they be compensated?
College can be a very difficult task to complete, especially when trying to excel not only academically, but also athletically. College athletes have all of the same responsibilities as non-athletes as far as academics are concerned. They also have the responsibilities of staying in shape and practicing for their sport.
