Alzheimer
For my presentation I have decided to discuss the topic of Alzheimer’s disease. The reason why I have decided to do this topic is because this horrible and incurable disease has affected my grandmother for the past 6 years. I also wanted to educate myself about Alzheimer’s since it is hereditary and I have a greater chance of being affected by this disease.
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease in which nerve cells in the brain become damaged and brain matter shrinks, resulting in impaired thinking, behavior, and memory. Since the nerve cells in the brain are dying, it makes it difficult for the brain's signals to be transmitted properly. A person with Alzheimer's disease has problems with memory, judgment, and thinking, which makes it hard for the person to work or take part in day-to-day life.
Alzheimer’s can be broken up into three different types of categories. The first category is Early onset Alzheimer's. This is a rare form of Alzheimer's disease in which people are diagnosed with the disease before age 65. Less than ten per
