Legal or Illegal
Recently artists in the music industry have complained that their work is being stolen every time a consumer downloads music from shared files on the Internet. Should downloading music from the Internet be made illegal? There are some people that believe downloading music from the Internet should be illegal because the music artists do not consent to their work being shared. Downloading music should be legalized because once a consumer purchases a product, he or she can do as they please with it, even share the file on the Internet. The music industry takes advantage of the consumer since they often over price products and music artists typically make most of their money from public appearances and the sale of paraphernalia.
