Solaris comparison

    SOLARIS A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF THE NOVEL “SOLARIS”. The novel solaris, which i read in english raises a few phylosofical ideas, regarding the subcuncious, its powers and the profounity of human mind,desires and preversion. I will no tenter this novel from a literature point of view, because we deal with cinema, and on the other hand, i will give here a brief scan of the content of the book, with points i found interesting, in order to try and analyse te story, upon which based both versions of the movie, and refer to points of interst, on which, later on, i will try to compare, and see how the cinema art- directors had treated them in the movies, what they left, and how, and what they decided to omit. - the story takes place in a space station flying over the star solaris. This star, in the book, was studied for long years, and has long history of research, and is considered on earth as an inteligent life form. Humanity has tried to make contact with this so called inteligent life form for meny years, and with no success.
