Great Hitter

    Great Hitter The sounds of the fans, cheering after the singing of the national anthem, made it feel like a professional game. Smelling the fresh cut grass, and the aroma of the hotdogs cooking in the concession stand, made this day great for baseball. As he stared out across the diamond as the opposing team took the field, he thought about what he had to do at the plate to help his team. There are many things that a hitter must do, either in the dugout or up at the plate, to become a great hitter. For example, he sat and studied the pitcher, as he threw out some warm up pitches. When the batter ahead of him went to the plate, he stepped into the on deck circle to try and catch certain things the pitcher does to tip you off on what pitch he was going to throw. The pitcher threw a couple fastballs and the came back with a curve ball. He noticed when he threw the curve ball, his motion slowed dramatically. That will make this pitch easier to be ready for.
