Guitar Stringing and Tuning
If you are interested in playing the guitar, one of the first and most valuable lessons you should learn is how to properly string and tune your instrument. Proper tuning is essential to training your ear and for maintaining a uniform sound for playing. Also, it is important to develop a process of putting your strings onto your guitar in a fashion that allows them to be in position for tuning, and provides you the most comfort in playing. Your opinion on this matter should come in time with persistent practice; as should your ability to identify weather or not your guitar is in tune.
First, you need to pick out your strings according to the type of guitar you want to play. There are strings particular to electric, acoustic and classical guitar. For the classical guitar, the strings are generally constructed of nylon and the stringing technique is a little different from the other types of guitars. I am going to focus on stringing acoustic guitar, because it is the most similar between the other guitars and is more easily accessible to the beginner. You need to pick out what gauge of string you most prefer; for the beginner a medium gauge set of strings may be preferable. Now to begin stringing
