Freedom of speech
Hate speech is a very delicate and intricate subject. The constitutional right of free speech is a rather powerful right. The very foundation of this great nation lies on the right of opinion and freedom of speech. With this freedom comes many different opinions and outlooks on the world itself. Self expression can be done in many ways, especially through speech. The ability to have an opinion is the ability to have a voice, no matter how it maybe be perceived by the world. Although it is often viewed as hate speech, it is still an opinion or expression none the less. Using the right to voice an opinion is exercising constitutional right. Not all views on a certain subject will be in agreement. The clashing of two opposite views or speech will often lead to friction; one side discriminates against the other and both sides will view each other as having the wrong view. The ability to have speech and the power to use it makes it free speech despite the outlook on a certain subject or matter. People have their own perceptions and opinions of the world, but it is the way in which is interpreted and presented that determines its tone and meaning.
