Introduction.
Everybody wants a fair chance to succeed in life but discrimination means that some people are denied opportunities or are treated badly because of their disability. This treatment is unfair, unnecessary and against the law (www.adcq.gld.gov.au). We all should to be aware of how and where disability discrimination occurs:
Disability discrimination can take many different forms. It can
consist of comments about the disability, made by managers or
executives, accompanied by some type of adverse employment
action or decision. These actions may include a failure to
promote, less favorable employment conditions, disciplinary
proceedings, layoff or termination. Many people are fortunate
enough to have a healthy mind and body cannot really see what
its like to be discriminated against because of a disability.
When we think of a person being discriminated against because
of a disability, the first thing come to mind is the workplace.

found in public accommodations, transportatio
