My Goals To say that my main goal in attending college is to earn a Bachelor’s Degree would of course be stating the obvious. I want to obtain more than just a piece of paper from attending college. I want to gain an entire new outlook on life, and change how I manage my life. My goals are to enrich my mind, explore different possibilities, and continue my education. When I say I want to enrich my mind, I literally mean that. In my present occupation, I spend all day lifting heavy items, putting boxes in smaller boxes continuously fed by a conveyor belt. Needless to say this is exhaustive, mind numbing work. It requires no thought, no planning, just autonomic reflexes. I have often said that a trained monkey could do my job, but the SPCA wouldn’t allow it due to the cruelty factor. Stuck within this environment, I feel that my brain is quickly atrophying, I receive no intellectual stimulation. I have found that I want, no I need a structured environment that provides this required stimulation.
