I. Firearm safety is the most important aspect to being a safe hunter.
A. Here are four simple rules to safe firearm handling.
1. First, treat every gun as if it were loaded
2. Next, be sure of your target and what lies beyond it.
3. Never point a gun at anything you do not wish to kill.
4. Never raise or lower a gun from a tree, instead unload it and attach it to
yourself with a sling.
