Office space (analysis of the modern era)
The Modern Dilemma?
Every generation is characterized by various contextual factors which govern their views on religion, government, and political correctness. It is definitely not a surprise that there is social unrest and dissatisfaction among the young adults of American society who are forging a path and identity for themselves. This has been the formula for progress and evolution since the beginning of civilization. However, I am personally having trouble identifying any elements of legitimacy in the most recent plight of those of the Clinton was when pop music is dominated by west coast gangster rap. A very popular work of this time which I think does a very good job of portraying this void of purpose is the video comedy Office Space.
The void of purpose I speak of among Americas young adults of the past ten to fifteen years is evident to me in two main ways. Much like the man elected President during this time of a booming economy not seen since the fifties, these young people do not seem to really take a stand on many issues. They approach life with a "whatever sounds good" or "whatever's convenient or the least hassle for me" attitude. The primary objective is just to keep oneself comfortable and satisfied. T
