Gender and Computers: Who uses computers, and how do they fe
1. Briefly describe the computer center you observed.
Business main lab room B-1012 consists of 29, 733Mhz computers, a black and white laser jet printers, a color ink-jet printer and, 2 photocopiers.
2. How many men were using computers? How many women?
15 men and 11 women
3. How many support staff were men? How many were women?
Two men.
4. Count the number of men and women engaged in word processing, email, surfing the web, programming, statistics, playing games.

Some people also using chat programs such as MSN Messenger and ICQ. Many people reading assorted web pages such as news, sports, music, and movies while working on other things. Also, many print jobs being sent to printers for school related purposes
To obtain survey data, interview 6 people ( 3 men and 3 women) about their computer use, using the following questions.
1. Tell me the different uses you have for computers (e.g., email, games, word processing, statistics, etc.).
2. How much time do you spend a week using a computer?
