Fuel For The Fire
"Then attack Eminem cause I rap this way/ But I'm glad cause they feed me the fuel that I need for the fire/ to burn and it's burnin' and I have returned" (Mathers 4.18-20). As certain groups supporting gay and women's rights, along with Eminem's wife and mother, continue to file lawsuits against him, they fail to realize that their actions only encourage Eminem. Many songs he writes contain replies to Eminem's enemies. Obviously not afraid to express how he feels, by leaving Eminem alone his enemies will benefit more. If he does not have some sort of insult or conviction to begin from, Eminem will most likely move on to other subjects. Eminem's supposedly outrageous songs identify who he is and how he handles the consequences of his difficult childhood, yet certain groups along with his wife and mother insist on picketing and filing lawsuits in an attempt to put an end to his career.
While Eminem continues to write offensive songs, people fail to understand what motivates him. Living a horrible childhood, Eminem, born as Marshall Mathers, deserves to write these songs (Gundersen 1).
