What do you think of when you read the word marijuana? Maybe you’re not too familiar with this term; maybe you’ve heard it called weed, grass, dope or “Mary Jane”. Whatever term you know this controlled substance by, there are many myths and questions regarding this substance. Is it really just a “harmless drug” that gives the user a mellow feeling, or are there health risks involved that everyone should be aware of? Some people might argue that occasionally smoking a little weed here and there is perfectly harmless, and that if God made the plant we should be able to experience it. Other people might argue that it is illegal and therefore should not be consumed if only for moral reasons. Still others might argue that lives have been changed drastically for the better or for the worse because of the drug marijuana.
