Miami Beach Fitness Festival Critique Event and Facility Management For the purposes of this assignment, I chose to attend the Miami Beach Fitness Festival, which was held on South Beach between the dates of March 27th-30th. I chose this event first of all because I am very interested in fitness and also I thought it would be interesting to see the event unfold seeing as a member of the event team was a guest speaker in our class a few weeks back. I chose to attend the festival on Friday the 28th and I got to the location it was being held at around 11:15 am. The gates or gate I should say was scheduled to be open at 11:00 and upon my arrival, I was allowed into the area but they did not seem to be ready for any guests just yet even thought there were not many people there. Vendors were still getting ready for the day and tables were still being set up. Also, no events were taking place. This was somewhat disappointing to me because this was the only time I could attend due to school and work and I felt cheated in that I really did not get to experience the event in its entirety.
