Matrix Mise-En-Scene

    The Matrix and Mise-en-scene Mise-en-scene is a powerful and important cinematic technique in film. The specific usage of mise-en-scene allows the director to guide the viewer’s attention to a specific focal point so that important details are not missed, and other details can serve as the support of the frame. A scene that shows many effective elements for mise-en-scene is the “White Room” scene of the original Matrix. In this scene the directors, Andy and Larry Wachowski, put to use a minimal setting in a great way. Film scenes often use a wide range of props and background effects to present an image that is interesting to look at.
