Cat's Cradle
Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut has many different parts that relate to most of the book. Whether it be about the Bokonist religion, the Hoenikker family, or San Lorenzo, it can be related to almost anything. Chapter seventy-two in this book is a prime example of this. Not only does chapter seventy-two, The Pissant Hilton, relate to the book and has a lot of significance to the plot as a whole, it can also be related to the real world today.
Chapter seventy-two starts after our narrator, Jonah, is brought to his hotel room and finds that there is nothing in it. He goes out looking for in rooms for people who work there in order to get sheets, pillows, toilet paper, and the rest of the necessary items for a hotel room. He stumbles upon two workers with the soles of their feet pressed together while they seem to be praying. He interrupts the men and they become very defensive and plead him no to tell anyone what he witnessed. Jonah did not know what they were doing but he promised
