    1. Would you give Schliemann the credit for the discorvery of troy? Defend your answer in at least 1 solid paragraph Although Schliemann is credited with Troy's original discovery, many other scientists have contributed their research to Troy's entire discovery. Thus, I don’t believe that Schliemann should receive all the credit for discovering Troy. He did spur the original search for Troy, but he was aided and pushed by other scientists. Although he paid for most of the expedition, this was his choice, for he wanted to find the treasures out of his own curiosity. Other scientists also helped him by dating the artifacts that he found and proving to him that he had not found Troy. This compelled him to search for many years until he found the real Troy. By providing motivation, tools, and knowledge necessary to advance the expedition, I believe that Schliemann shouldn’t receive all the credit, but roughly ½ of it. 2.
