The Cy Young Award recognizes the best pitchers from both the American and National Leagues in the MLB every year. Though it is an important award, not many know about Cy Young himself and what he accomplished to have the honor of having an award named after him. After growing up on a farm in Ohio, Denton True Young started his baseball career in Canton in the Tri-State League.
