Title: The effect of different colors on the effect of weight (g) of different M and Ms
Introduction: The purpose of testing whether different M and M’s weigh different amounts is important to consumers for two reasons. 1) If one bought a bag filled with primarily the lightest (g) color of M and M’s, they would not be getting the same value for their money as someone who bought a bag primarily filled with the heaviest (g) color of M and M’s. 2) If one does not want to gain as much weight, one could like to know which M and M weighs the least in order to eat the lightest (g) color. So the researchers would like to know what is the effect of color on the weight (g) of M and M’s. Our independent/manipulated variable is color of M and M while the dependent/responding variable is the weight in grams. The constants of this experiment are the scale, bag of M and M’s and ingredients. The method the researchers used to determine which M and M is lightest (g) is by weighing all six colors of M and M’s (Red, Blue, Yellow, Brown, Orange and Green) for eight different trials, then comparing the results of each trial. Also, the researcher will compare the results with the control. The control is the weight of the whole bag divi
