Napster Issue of the Music Donlaoding
I agree with the judges’ ruling in this case that Napster “knowingly encourages and assists in the infringement of copyrights. Due to the increasing changes in technology today, there is a need to control and manage its growth and use. As new technologies and new ways of life are coming out, new laws must be created simultaneously with these innovations in order to control and manage usage and fairly protect rights.
We feel that Napster did in fact foster an infringement of such rights. Music should NOT be freely available to users since it is much like stealing artists’ music from a store. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act was put in place because of this reason. The A
